Included in the apartment is a full kitchen with a range and refrigerator for those who wish to prepare meals at their discretion. Blinds, cable and telephone hookups and sufficient electrical outlets are available to meet every need. Each bedroom and bathroom is equipped with a “pull cord” to be used to summon staff help in the event of an emergency.
All units have individual controls for heating and air conditioning. Each apartment has its own lock on the apartment door which ensures privacy but is keyed so that emergency responders may enter.
There are no “visiting hours” – friends and family are welcome anytime – after all, they are visiting in your home!
Activities at Friendship Towers
At Friendship Towers we strive to provide activities that do more than simply “spend” or “pass” time – our emphasis is to make time meaningful for each participating individual. While we encourage participation, each resident may or may not choose to be involved.
Our goal is to address individual resident needs – some of these include, but are not limited to:
Dining at Friendship Towers
At Friendship, three meals per day are available to all residents. Meals, except breakfast, are served, restaurant style, in the main dining room. Breakfast is delivered by our dining staff to the apartment of the residents who choose that meal.
We pride ourselves on providing well-balanced meals that meet your nutritional needs, while ensuring that the meals are tasty and enjoyable. Even though we cannot provide special or therapeutic diets, we strive to provide choices which consider those residents who have diabetic or other dietary restrictions.
A tasty evening snack is also made available if you wish something to “top off the day”.
Two meals per day are included in the basic rent. Residents usually choose either lunch and dinner as the included meals. If you choose to have more than one meal per day, an additional charge is applied. You may choose to purchase an additional “meal-at-a-time” or purchase a monthly plan for the additional meal (most economical).
Your guests are always welcome! Guest meal charges are extremely reasonable.
Our dining director is equipped and eager to cater special private events for families and other groups you may wish to entertain. He will customize your event to your desires and pocketbook.
