About Forest View Apartments
Forest View Apartments provides retirement housing for independent older adults or for older adults who require an apartment with “accessible” features. The building is classified by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as “Section 202 (Elderly) PRAC. As such, rents are subsidized by HUD based on household income.
To be eligible:
- At least one member of the household must be at least age 62.
- Income must not exceed 50% of the median income for the Lexington, KY MSA
Sayre Christian Village admits and serves patients/residents equally, without regard to race, color or national origin.
After eligibility has been established, income is adjusted by deducting approved anticipated medical expenses and other deductions. Rent is based on 30% of adjusted income.
For the convenience of tenants or the convenience of family members, we offer automatic bank withdrawals of tenant rent and services payments.

Included in the rent is electricity, heating, cooling, water and trash removal. Residents are responsible for cable TV and telephone.
Occupancy standards for Forest View Apartments are set forth as follows:
One Bedroom Unit: No more than two persons in the household
Pets are permitted – some restrictions apply.
Forest View residents claim they have the best view on the property, and they may be right!
The back of Forest View overlooks a wooded area reminiscent of a state park, full of deer, squirrels and wildlife to watch out the windows.
The apartments at Forest View are spacious and designed for older adults who wish to furnish with favorite items from their homes.

Activities at Forest View Apartments
At Forest View Apartments activities are designed to do more than simply "spend" or "pass" time - the emphasis is to make time meaningful for each participating resident.
The Residents participate in the development of the activities calendar and, on their own, facilitate many of the day-to-day activity programs offered.
The goal is to address individual resident needs.
Dining for Forest View Residents
For those residents who enjoy a break from preparing lunch meals, daily lunch is available to all residents in the Baunta Cafe next door. Lunchtime meals are served, cafeteria style, in the main dining room.
Lunch pricing is very affordable. Residents are able to select items ala-carte and, in addition, may choose to purchase an entree to go, which becomes the basis for their evening meal.
