Chaplain Tyler Returns to SCV
There’s something special about coming home—and at Sayre Christian Village, we’re excited to welcome someone back to a place that has meant so much to him and to our community.
Tyler previously served as Chaplain at Sayre for five years, walking alongside residents, families, and staff through countless meaningful moments. During his time with us, he was part of important milestones, including the groundbreaking of the Friendship Towers expansion, and he faithfully served our community through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now, he’s coming back—and we couldn’t be happier to have him home.
A Heart for Walking Alongside Others
Tyler brings more than 20 years of ministry experience to his role, including serving as a Missions Pastor, a chaplain in senior living communities, and a Hospice Chaplain.
Throughout his ministry, Tyler has had a passion for meeting people where they are and walking alongside them through both the joyful and difficult seasons of life. Whether celebrating a milestone, offering encouragement during a challenging time, or simply sitting and listening, Tyler believes in the importance of being present for others.
He earned his Master of Divinity from Asbury Seminary and is ordained through Southland Christian Church.
Returning to a Community He Knows and Loves
For Tyler, returning to Sayre means reconnecting with familiar faces while also getting to know the many new residents, families, and staff members who have joined our community since his previous time here.
He is looking forward to once again being part of the Sayre family and continuing the ministry of care, encouragement, prayer, and spiritual support that is such an important part of life at Sayre Christian Village.
Beyond the Ministry
While Tyler is passionate about ministry, he’ll tell you that his greatest source of pride is his family. He and his wife, Jessica, are the proud parents of two always-on-the-go children, Nolan and Emma.
We’re excited to have Tyler—and his family—back in the Sayre family.
