Charity Event Benefiting Our Older Adults with Memory Impairment
Sayre Christian Village has two Alzheimer’s and Dementia focused communities on campus, the Assisted Living Memory Care and our Reflection of Life Community at the Healthcare Center.
These residents are our most vulnerable population on campus and are deserving of our fundraising efforts. Their lives are quite literally in our hands and our goal is not to just give great care, but give godly care for them in this season of their life where they need it most.
Sayre Christian Village is raising funds for paint, updated furnishings, and dementia-friendly enhancements for these two memory care communities. The pandemic has cost us several million in unbudgeted COVID-related expenses and we need your help to further the ministry!
Event Details
Sayre Christian Village’s first annual “Ride to Remember” Charity Ride and Car + Bike Show is a fundraising event on September 25th, 2021 that is fun for the whole family! Proceeds benefit both Sayre Christian Village Memory Care communities.
EVENT MAP: Event takes place in front of our Baunta Apartment complex on the Sayre Christian Village campus. Once you arrive, you’ll see one entry for bikes (Entrance 2), one for cars/trucks (Entrance 5) and plenty of areas for general parking!
- 9:30 am – Registration opens
- 10 am – LIVE music begins
- 11 am – BBQ starts
- 11 am – Kickstands up(CHARITY RIDE ROUTE)
- 11 am – Car/Bike Show judging begins
- 12 pm – 92.9 New Country radio remote
- 1 pm – 2 pm Raffles/Prizes/Silent Auction winners announced

Do I need to register online?
Event is open to all – no admission price! If you want to enter the ride or the car/bike show, it’s $15 1st rider or $30 with passenger or $15 for car/bike show entry. Your entry fee also enters you into the big 70/30 split the pot raffle! Pre-register online to secure your dash plaque! First 100 registrants in the car/bike show or ride get a stainless steel dash plaque!

$7 will not only support the memory impaired, but also get you a mouthwatering Brisket BBQ Lunch Box! Smoked BBQ Brisket sandwich, Southern baked beans, Cajun potato salad, Lay’s chips, and drink all for $7. Hot dogs for the kids!
Silent Auction is LIVE now!

Raffles
The big raffle (registration for show/ride doubles as entry into the 70/30 raffle) will take place between 1:00-1:30 pm and will be a 70/30 split between Sayre Christian Village and the raffle winner. (70% proceeds to Sayre Christian Village and 30% to raffle winner). A split the pot raffle will also be drawn from 1:00 – 1:30 pm; get your tickets at the door for the 50/50 split the pot.
Awards
We have a special award for the motorcycle or car group that brings that registers the most members at the event! Bring a crowd and bring home this one-of-a-kind bourbon barrel head for your clubhouse.
All of our awards were hand-painted by our CEO, Karen Venis. The barrel heads are amazing – we can’t wait for you to take one home.
