Sayre Christian Village announced on October 31, 2018 that its Board of Directors had chosen Karen Venis as the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Executive Director. Venis, who currently serves as Sayre Christian Village’s Chief Administrative Officer, will succeed Bill English, the company’s current CEO/Executive Director, who retired on December 31st after nearly 20 years of dedicated service to the organization.
“I’m honored, and I’m grateful to the board for the opportunity to lead this exceptional organization of dedicated and talented professionals,” said Venis. “Sayre Christian Village is beyond blessed to provide hope, housing and healthcare for older adults in central Kentucky. This is a terrific opportunity that any leader would welcome.”
Bill English expressed confidence in the board’s choice. “Karen is a remarkable leader who has been responsible for a great portion of our success over the years,” said English. “I’m very happy with the board’s decision, and I’m confident Karen will ensure that Sayre Christian Village continues to lead the way in providing quality care and services to the residents on our campus.”
Venis holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky and an associate’s degree in nursing from Midway University. She joined Sayre Christian Village in 2010, and has held various management positions within the organization ever since. A resident of Versailles, Kentucky, Karen and her husband David have three sons and are members of Journey Church.
