Norman, a resident at Friendship Towers, began outpatient physical therapy at our on-site facility with a clear goal, to improve his lower extremity strength, balance, and ability to walk unassisted. Prior to therapy, Norman relied heavily on his mobility scooter to get around the community.
With the support of our dedicated rehabilitation team and access to speech, occupational, and physical therapy services conveniently located right on-site, Norman made incredible progress. After several months of consistent effort, he proudly achieved the ability to walk throughout the facility without the use of an assistive device for short and medium distances.
Norman not only met his goals but also found the therapy process rewarding and enjoyable. He now encourages other residents to take advantage of the therapy services available, calling them a “tremendous resource” for anyone seeking to regain independence and improve quality of life.
