‘Can You Hear Me Now?’ Project

We are blessed to have a beautiful Life Enrichment Center with soaring ceilings, but Healthcare Center residents struggle to understand their neighbors, families, chaplain, and staff due to the terrible acoustics in the space.

We have tried our best with homemade sound panels but to no avail. So, this year, we are raising funds for acoustic tiles to reduce the chance of depression, anxiety, isolation, & loneliness. Residents deserve a positive experience during dining, worship services, and entertainment events.

Residents Can’t Fully Understand Worship Services

One of our faithful spiritual volunteers says:

However, when I am speaking into the microphone, it is common for a resident to say they are having difficulty hearing me. The plank flooring in the space intensifies communication barriers that the carpet masked before. Professional acoustic panels will resolve the communication problem.

Help us provide the best life for all, including the many with hearing impairment.

The cost for the acoustic panels for a space of this size and the unique ceiling is steep, but we have momentum in our favor! Sayre families, supporters, and staff raised $14,012 during the 2022 GoodGiving Challenge in early December 2022 to make a nice dent in the funds needed.
